Ants, Elephants, and other critters

You may have seen Ants and Elephants and The Saturday Ant Mob on the November timetable. You may be wondering what on earth they have to do with Mobilates.
I’m a member of the Mob and also owner of PinkGold Ltd, a tiny business based in Wales. One of the things we do in PinkGold is provide a bit of structure to help neurodivergent people and those with chronic health conditions get on with life. As part of that, I developed different kinds of accountability and coaching sessions.
That’s where Ants and Elephants and The Saturday Ant Mob come in. They are Zoom opportunities for a little bit of accountability, motivation and cheerleading for life tasks. You share tasks you need to do then work on them. At the end of a session, we check-in with each other and celebrate each other’s wins, commiserate with challenges and then head off.
PinkGold wants to gift Mobilates members with access to these sessions in November and December. It’s my thank you for all I get from being part of the Mobilates Mob.
The sessions aren’t exclusively for Mob members, so you can expect to see people you don’t know.
Ants and Elephants
11am to 1pm Mondays.
Requires booking to get the Zoom link: https://tidycal.com/annecollis/ants-and-elephants-3l6jzq6
These sessions are limited to eight spaces.
The name comes from a time management tool. Ants are tiny tasks that are done most efficiently by letting them accumulate then scooping them up in a handful. Elephants are huge tasks that need breaking into bite-size chunks.
We also have ‘emotional elephants’ where we don’t know the size of the task because it is too challenging to look at it or start it without moral support. And some people identify tasks as beetles or other critters.
Being on a Monday morning makes it easier to get the week off to a good start. We choose some goals and then we spend the rest of the session working on them. There’s no pressure or restriction to what you may want to do.
11am Check-in
11.10am Microphones off as we get working

This is a post-Move & Chat opportunity to do a few ants left on our list, review your last week or plan your coming week.
If anyone wants to tackle an elephant, that’s ok. But for me, Saturdays are about a laid back, low energy rounding off of my week.
10.30am Check-in then head off or…
10.50am Microphones off and work on whatever

Note from Team Mobilates:
Feeling part of a community is truly amazing at Mobilates! Our members have the exciting opportunity to volunteer, gift sessions, or join in socials, all of which help us feel like we're part of something extraordinary. It gives us a sense of purpose!
We want to express our heartfelt thanks to Anne for her incredible gift of Ants and Elephants to Da Mob. We absolutely adore the sessions and have been thrilled with the results! Some members have tackled their PIP forms, tidied up areas of their homes they were avoiding, or conquered their daunting pile of paperwork. Doing it together just demolishes those barriers to getting things done! This can be so empowering for neurodivergent individuals and those living with long-term pain and fatigue.
If you are not yet a member and fancy giving us a go then do book a free consultation at mobilates.as.me.
