Ever since Mobilates moved classes online, members have relished every opportunity

to get together and meet in real life!!

We've had a few casual gatherings, and now retreats throughout the UK are a regular part of what Mobilates offers. You will take part in gentle, accessible activities, enjoy the chance to meet local health professionals and learn techniques to support you on an ongoing basis, indulge in wholesome locally sourced food and take some time out for your body and mind.

What is included

Top quality and well loved facilitators with expertise in working with

people with chronic health conditions and mobility issues.

A healthy, locally sourced lunch, with vegan and gluten free options*

All drinks throughout the day.

Cake!

Crafty materials. 

A beautiful and supportive environment, with inclusive activities to be

able to relax and feel connected to others.

*Gluten is used in the kitchen. So, although the catering company will do a thorough clean down

between runs, all items may contain traces of gluten.

Taster sessions

We are delighted to be able to offer you the chance to try out some

gorgeous one to one treatments with two local, top pain relief specialists!

Each 20 minute session will be offered to you for a reduced rate of £15.

(Book your session in the booking link and check the timetable above to see which

session you will miss to attend your taster.)

Choose from:

Relaxing Massage or Pain Consultation with Caroline You can opt for a 20-minute relaxing massage, or perhaps you’ll choose for me to focus techniques on one or two muscles that are likely to be contributing to your pain or reduced range of movement? OR we can spend the time discussing your pain history and determine the modality that would best support you on your journey towards pain freedom. Time allowing, you will leave with a self-help strategy to get you started.

Specialised soothing treatment with Vanessa Choose from: A Hand/Arm Massage, Foot Massage, Head, Neck and Shoulder Massage with your own choice of luxury massage oils.

Leanne - Mobilates

Please contact Leanne if you have any questions about the retreat. Leanne will be the main facilitator for the day and will be there to support you throughout.

SitFit/WalkFit - A low impact cardio class with fun moves to music, extra prizes for lack of rhythm and coordination!

Mindful Movement and Reiki - A chance to move your body in a slow, soothing, mindful way, indulge in a soothing relaxation followed by a group Reiki session. You will feel a sense of well being and calm and leave the session feeling soothed and energised.

Community Centre

Paddock Wood Community Centre is a brand new, beautiful hall with plenty of parking, level access into and throughout the building, accessible toilets, a lovely kitchen and plenty of space for us. We will have a separate room to host the taster sessions and chill out space where you can relax and take a break whenever you need.

Caroline - move with ease

Caroline from ‘move with ease’ specialises in chronic pain management using clinical and myofascial massage therapy, functional
breath retraining, Pain Reprocessing Therapy and meditation, yoga and
fascia training. All these modalities soothe the nervous system, reduce pain, and quite often eliminate it!

Guided Meditation

You will be guided in Metta Bhavana – loving kindness meditation. This is an
affirmation-based practice and so we will also explore the benefits of
using affirmations that align with your authentic self, rather than using
broad sweeping statements that you simply don’t believe!

Well-Being Facial Facilitator

Vanessa - Garden Tranquillity

Vanessa from Garden Tranquillity is a Holistic & Massage Therapist for women who care too much leaving themselves overstretched, exhausted, and losing sight of themselves. Specialising in women’s health, oncology, dementia and palliative/end of life care using Reiki infused, light touch massage and healing holds with a choice of organic blended massage oils and facial products.

Well-Being Facial:

A soothing self-care ritual combining a mindful skincare facial with relaxing massage, reflex points, and/or face yoga to help alleviate stress and promote well-being.

Our Caterer

Woodies Café 

Woodies Café is a gorgeous local café who cook fresh food, made from scratch in the kitchen. They specialise in wholesome, tasty vegan food but also cater to meat eats and those with gluten intolerances. So there will be plenty of food for everyone to enjoy.

What you will need to bring

A water bottle - we have access to water, it will just help to have your water close to you throughout the day.

Any additional snacks you may need to keep you going.

A pillow, Pilates mat and small head cushion, optional blanket.

Wear comfortable clothes you can move easily in and trainers for SitFit/WalkFit.

If you love baking and would like to bring cake to share please feel free. Please bring a list of ingredients to display.

A takeaway tub or two, or four(!) so you can take home leftovers.

I wanted to say thank you to everyone who came today.  I was so anxious this morning about spending any length of time in one room with so many people I'd never met in person (I mean, the full sweating/heart pounding type of anxiety!)
I told myself that I only had to stay for an hour... then until lunchtime... then until we left the hall... Then suddenly I was in a wonderful garden eating gorgeous cake!
I can't remember the last time I was ever that chilled out about being around so many new people and I'm still processing all of it tbh.
I hope all of you had a lovely day as well, and that you managed to get to your next destinations safely. And I'll share a saying that came back to me for the first time in years and has really struck a chord with me today:
